After a Harz tour, we stopped at the restaurant zum Löwen and ate there. The food was absolutely great! There was a homemade salad beforehand, which we can only recommend, then we ate a Batamog schnitzel, super tender schnitzel, sauce and palm hearts were really tasty!!! I mustn't forget the fried potatoes, which were crispy brown with onions and bacon. It was a pleasure! The host always had a great saying ready and also very friendly, we were always served quickly even though it was very busy. My visit to the restaurant zum Löwen was divided, the food was very good but the service left a lot to be desired, first we had to wait a long time for the drinks, then the employees were very overwhelmed. Especially the sanitary facilities could do with a thorough cleaning. At first we didn 't want to pay attention to the typical village gossip, but we noticed for ourselves how much the landlord is more and more isolated from his restaurant. Very friendly service and chef, no vegetarian dishes on the menu (apart from fries, fried potatoes and salad), but a simple but delicious potato and vegetable pan was made for me. A small drawback: the waitresses are unfortunately not very attentive (empty glasses are overlooked and not necessarily cleared away there is still room for improvement).
