Mice, mice, and more mice in the Black Bear cabins! The only thing more repulsive was the front desk lady named Jody. Horribly rude. It turns out she’s part of the family the owns it so it doesn’t appear there’s any accountability there. She said it’s the woods and that’s what you get (an infestation). She said if we had a problem with it, our entire party of 10 plus people could find accommodations elsewhere. There would be no refunds. Save yourself the trouble and money stay away from the mice, but most of all her. In response to your comments on my review: I assure you my experience was unfortunately real. I’m happy to provide you with the dates of my stay, a copy of my unanswered certified letter, statements from others in the party who were witness to the mice/your staff member’s behavior which you did not address in your response, and cleared bank charges for cabins rented for the weekend. Jody informed me however that she was in charge and there was no one higher than her. So, even provided with this, how will it be addressed? Why were steps not taken that weekend to have someone else reach out to us even when we requested? Why were we told if the mice infestation was a problem we could leave but there would be no refund? I’ve noticed on the vast majority of these reviews you are so kind to positive ones, but argue with nearly all less than glowing responses. You proved my point with your response. Please treat people better and take some accountability for your staff. To everyone thinking of booking here, I wonder what I could have read in advance to convince me not to not book this for my family. I might have just figured it was some crazy person on the internet complaining. If you dig deeper on the reviews here and elsewhere you do start to see a pattern, and this staff member mentioned by name. True, you might have an okay time (minus the mice), but you’re on your own should you have any trouble with your stay. In fact, they’ll escalate the situation and make you feel like you’re in the wrong. I implore you to believe what I did not: Do not stay here.

The Restaurant is way too expensive. Very disappointed with the Menu Service. Be advised that you will not receive what you expected, bland boring taste to say the least. Service: 2 Location: 5
