Gimsenwirt - Tisch reservieren

If staying in the area, you really ought to stop at the Gasthaus Gimsenwirt. Being on the main road between St. Gilgen and Fuschl, it would be easy to overlook this as it doesn't have a lakeside setting, but don't let that put you off. The restaurant offers outstanding service and food with very friendly helpful staff. Traditional dishes are beautifully presented, substantial and very tasty. Excellent ice-creams and desserts on offer too. It was quiet when we were there, whilst lakeside restaurants were crowded, and sometimes overpriced. The food here is excellent and reasonably priced. It has a cosy, local feel to it. Well worth journeying to to eat. Highly recommended.

On our way back from Salzburg to Obertraun we always pass by this restaurant. This time we decided to stop and have something to eat. And we will never regret it because from now on we will stop by here a lot. The girl that helped us was so nice and friendly that I hope she serves me again the next time we will be there. This time we had the grillplate for 2 persons (€ 25,50 in total.) Not only do you get a lot of food but also very good food. I am already looking forward to go there the next time.

We had a nice dinner with the family there, the food was delicious, the mixture of the Austrian specialitys and the Hungarian kitchen gave us a pretty tasty meal. the barkepper was really friendly and talkative, he explained a lot of the History of the restaurant and how the family restored it from the ashes. We'll definetely go back there in the future. thank you

Been there with the whole family with 3 children. All enjoyed the tasty Austrian food and got excellent service. Highly recommended!
