Golden Bear Pancake House

WOW! I don’t even know where to begin with such a wonderful experience. First off we came in and were immediately greeted by the owner, Tom. He sat us and then our server Mirna took care of our table. From the beginning to end we had smiles on our faces and couldn’t stop talking about how great everything was. The coffee was delicious. The menu has SO many delicious items and you can tell they’re all made with not only high quality ingredients skill, but with a feeling of love and comfort. The options and customization is endless! I ordered the fruity pebbles pancakes and they were SO fluffy, so warm, and stayed warm throughout the whole breakfast. Our server was kind, attentive, and the food was made and served so quick without feeling like it was rushed to be made. The presentation of all of our dishes were stunning. I dropped a little wallet in between the booths and the owner came over with a tool to retrieve it for me, and cracked some jokes to share some laughter! We ended up learning he is from Greece and we took a picture too! This little spot is what you’d maybe call a “hole in the wall” that provides everything you need for a good experience. The inside has this cabin like interior that is super cute and cozy. Overall 10000/10 recommend. I hope this place sticks around forever!!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

More like a silver bear... This good food experience (fiour star) was tainted by the overall experience (3 star). From a door dash perspective it's a four star place. When I walked in I was greeted by a funky smell I believed was coming from the carpet. Over time I became nose blind to it. It's a smaller restaurant with clean orderly booths, front counter,etc. even the silverware was spotless. They tried to make it feel lodge-like but just missed the mark and it came off mom and pop divey. The vibe from the staff was very tense. They didn't come off very welcoming either. This attitude was also evident in my server. She was efficient and effective and cold. Made me want to eat and get out. The bright spot of this restaurant was the food. I was given exactly what I ordered and at lightning speed. The hash browns ;however, were inedible and the coffee was weak but my main was done well. Ugh! Four stars is generous. I would only return to give them a second chance because they do some things very well. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this establishment based on my last visit.

Very friendly staff, food was delicious! My sorors and I enjoyed it. It's a little darker than i thought, but good food and friendliness. Great combination! I will be back. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
