Grotto al Bosco

We, two kids and two grownups, stopped for lunch here after reading the reviews. We ordered the risotto with luganighe (typical sausage), the lasagne (daily special), the gnocchi with arugula pesto and the tartar classic. Everything tasted amazing! This has been one of the best restaurants we’ve been. The ingredients used were all fresh and local. The risotto was to die for, all tastes were dosed to perfection. The gnocchis are fresh made and the pesto is smoother then the one with basil. The lasagne really tasted of meat and didn’t swim in the Béchamel sauce. Also the tartar was well seasoned and done with love. The local wine (white merlot) went very well with all the dishes. The staff is very friendly and there’s even a small playground for the kiddies. Highly recommended for all the food lovers out there.

Nach einer langen Wanderung war es schön, diese warme und einladende Grotte zu betreten. Die Polentagerichte waren genau das, was wir nach einem Tag im Freien brauchten. Wir begannen mit einem lokalen Bittersalat und Salametti, beide waren ausgezeichnet. Wir empfehlen Ihnen auf jeden Fall, auch die Polenta mit geschmolzenem Blauschimmelkäse zu probieren (während die Polenta mit Pilzen etwas trocken war). Obwohl dies eindeutig ein Ort für Touristen ist, waren einige der Gäste Einheimische und er hat seinen authentischen Charme bewahrt. Der Service war freundlich und hilfsbereit und es wurde uns sogar ein kleiner Schlummertrunk aufs Haus angeboten.

Als meine Frau und ich zum ersten Mal an diesem Ort vorbeikamen, war es reiner Zufall. Wir wurden vom Koch und dem Servicepersonal herzlich empfangen. Wir alle, auch unser Hund, haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Essen (traditionelle Tessiner Gerichte) war großartig, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte auf jeden Fall.
