So we don't eat pizza very often - there is an awful sameness with too much cheese and on a base too thick. So this place - found by default on hungry night - has turned out to be something of a find if you like your pizza with a thin base and a deal of imagination in the toppings. Our fist love at this place was the Quacker - never found anywhere else a pizza with duck and plum sauce as the main ingredients. But it goes beyond that. Our next favourite is the Athenian - lamb, tzatziki & brown mushrooms. We are yet to escape the seductions of our favourites, but The Bomb, the Salty Pig, The Hairy Fish, Mr. Potato Head, and the Pumpkin, Pig and The KId all beckon. Salads, drinks, coffee are all available. Gluten Free is available on all medium size pizzas. Seating is basic but ok - tends to communal. Pricing is about the same elsewhere.
We love to visit sleepy Adelaide and we always love Grotto on Edward for pizza. We would travel to Adelaide just to have one of these pizzas. Thin base and extra yummy toppings. Our favourite is the no sauce with the bomb a close second but whatever you choose, you can't really go wrong. Friendly service and just a great experience. Highly recommend

The pizza was truly gourmet, blasting with delicious flavours and fresh ingredients! Took a bit long to arrive at our table, but that shows that the pizza was being cooked to deliver, and the wait was well worth it.
