Stay for the chips, but leave for the food. I do t understand the popularity of this place. Yes the chips and salsa are plentiful, but the margaritas and food always leaves me wanting more flavor. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and tried to get the red sauce on them. Instead they brought beef enchiladas. The beef enchiladas were bland and the meat was tough. My wife’s salad was nothing more than some Romain with a few tomatoes, and our kids’ nacho had very tough steak. What gives? I would say the service is excellent and friendly all around, but the food and flavors need work. Wait till Taco Bamba opens across the street. First time and I enjoyed it. The margarita loca was on point. My main downside to Guapo's is that it's pricier than my local southern Maryland authentico spots. I was with a large party so gratuity was included but my check was 45 for chicken nachos and the margarita loca. The chicken nachos came out looking like my son made them but BABY let me tell you, they were straight !!! All in all we had fun and loved the atmosphere.
