While travelling for 80% as a solo business traveller, it is refreshing to be made welcome by all the staff upon arrival and then be treated as equally as important as a group during service. Busy time for Sunday evening but I was still placed at a table overlooking the lake, and I never felt under any pressure to “finish up”. The view is excellent over the lake, enclosed by the surrounding mountains, behind one of which, the sun sets. I believe the restaurant is equipped with a ‘proper’ pizza oven and I can recommend the pizza, which was cooked perfectly for me. I’d recommend a visit here when you next find yourself in Stansstad.
My partner and I were in Stansstad for a 1 night stay before completing our Swiss vacation. The menu had a wide array of pasta and pizza selections at reasonable prices. We decided to split a pizza and we’re glad we did they’re large. And delicious!! Thin crust, handled with care by the chef (we could watch him from our table). Service was excellent and friendly on a busy Saturday night. When I asked for a dessert recommendation, our server had one but said if I didn’t like it, he’d get me something else. It wasn’t to my taste, so he graciously replaced it. Worth a try if you’re in the area!
Taken by a local, we had a bountiful lunch. Great variety of pizzas. Children's menu is quite big, but totally worth it in my opinion. Best thing besides the pizzas is the view of the lake.
