We ventured here after a Sunday explore around the local area and enjoyed a lovely meal in the warmth after getting soggy. A beautiful log burning fire greets you and warms the soul. It was very busy when we arrived, which can only be a good sign and boast of a places reputation. We were recommended a visit here by the owner of our local buttie shop and I am certainly glad we gave it a try, the food was tasty and I loved the magical trinkets on display all around the pub. Especially as an avid Alice in Wonderland lover I was pretty shocked to have paid the exact same price as I had paid the weekend before in central London for two pints of beer !!! Some serious inflation on that, more than I pay in any pub in my hometown ! The pies were what we were most excited to try and I was a touch disappointed. What was delivered to our table I would say didn’t look quite as impressive as what is advertised on the website. But it was very delicious and we left full of goodness and a slightly stung wallet. Would probably visit again for food when next in the area (probably stick to tap water in the future tho)
