We found this restaurant when we were in Redwood City. We were actually looking for a particular restaurant and turned to Higuma to make a U Turn. Halfway through the U Turn, we decided to park, eat and take our chances. It's on the El Camino Real and really easy to find. You have wonderful Japanese cuisine! My husband had the Ahi and I had the standard Beef Teriyaki/Tempura Combo. The Ahi and Beef Teriyaki were both cooked on a wooden cabbage grill. It is enough just to sit there and smell the food cooking! It is a small place and has a very casual atmosphere and staff. The architecture recalls a Japanese village dinner. The bamboo and the bridges feel like in Japan. You will really enjoy the artworks they show inside. I felt comfortable leaving my place to wonder, only the art they have on the display. Would I go back there? If I'm in the area, I'm sure I'm going out of my way to eat there again. That's good!
