We were here with friends (six of us) and when we came we met winemakers from tasting we took part in the morning - we are at good place, that is allways good sign to meet those people dinning somewhere :-)Huge winelist with fair prices (even bourgogne, bordeaux or champagne), drink from Zalto is still allways memorable for me :-) and the best for the end - outstanding meals! Had cornsoup and wienersnitzel which was like cake, almost did not need knife :-). Delicious potato and cucumber salad. This was ordered twice more as some kind of dessert for the table later on... Attentive service is part of this package as well. Our glasses were never empty...What do you want more?
We had lunch at Hofmeisterei on a recent day trip to the beautiful Wachau and I really enjoyed it. Friendly and attentive service, tasteful decorations that go well with the old building, original amuse bouches (including tiny "Wachauer Laberln"), good wine, and most imporant excellent food. I had asparagus soup as a starter and chicken as a main course. Portions are on the small side, but personally, I was too full to order dessert. It's rather pricey, but definitely value for money. I would revisit and can highly recommend this restaurant.
We had the pleasure to have lunch there on Sunday, the food was gorgeous! The people serving were very polite and very professional. There are menus of 4 or 5 courses and includes wine. We decided to have one dish each and one of us had a glass of wine (apparently excellent but the price also high for one glass). Highly recomendable! We shall return. We had 5 different dishes and not one disappointed us.
I really like it very much, when I choose restaurant because of reviews from Tripadvisor and It is better then I expected it. And this was this subject. Really one of the best restaurant in Wachau. Food is brilliant, service and place as well.Of course price level is a little bit higher, but they deserve every penny.You have to try it and I hope that you will have a good experience as I had.
