Schneeberger - Tisch reservieren

Visited for a "fondue evening". Very underwhelmed.. £20 per person for a bowl of cheese and zero atmosphere was pretty poor value. We were half board in our hotel and we're looking for a special evening out, I'm told the meat fondue is much better, but that doesn't get around the atmosphere, it's a nicely decorated dining room and the salad buffet was quite good. We had to wait for a table, despite booking, until a residents table came free and we were ignored at the bar while waiting. Perhaps we were comparing this to our hotel (Hannes) where the hospitality was outstanding.

This was the first place we tried during our week stay in Niederau, mainly as it was still serving food past 9pm. The waitresses are dressed in traditional clothing and the place feels very cosy although it is a good size inside. There is also a separate bar area at the back.The food was delicious and I highly recommend this place for an evening meal in this lovely town.

Atmosphere is like the menu, typically Tiroller. Fine for a rainy day. We had a visit with four (2 small kids). Kinder wiener was good, Tiroler Grostl (bacon, egg, potatoes) was fine, kasespatzle was good. I'd recommend it if you didn't have the chance to go up the mountain.

We had a lovely family meal here after a full days skiing. You don't need to be a guest at the hotel and you don't need to book. Worth a visit.

Good food and nice restaurant for travelling families with children! Nice steakmenu and whine was also okay. With terras
