Hunter Gatherer Vegetarian Diner

We went there for lunch for two people. The waitress is very nice and we loved the atmosphere -- relaxing, original and somewhat hippie. It was warm in the restaurant with an open kitchen. We had a curry, a melt and two coffees. The melt was made from bean patty. As non-vegetarians, we thought the meal was satisfying. Bill including tax was just under $40.We will go back and try the burgers -- many patrons ordered burgers.The food service was a bit slow. The restaurant isn't big and it looked like there were only 3-4 staff working. So not a fast food joint -- in case you are in a hurry.

This is one of few (only?) vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Regina. The food is consistently good -- the breakfast has an awesome maple smoked tofu. Lunch and supper (or Lupper) has a small menu with ever changing specials. Sometimes the service is a little bit on the slow side -- but on the flip side, just make sure you are here with friends -- so you have plenty of time to enjoy your conversations and meal and not feel rushed.

Husband and I were looking for quick lunch. We're not vegetarian but a friend referred us. Loved the decor, atmosphere. Both were happy with our lunch choices. My bean melt had thin toasted bread (loved it) and hubby's tofu wrap was very tasty. Would love to return. At 2:00 pm was busy!

Had the egg inside the fried onion rings - yummy. The accompanying potatoes were delish too. Loved the collection of tacky mountain paintings and faux head mounts! And the stack of suitcases made a boring wall interesting!

It's vegan-friendly, has a relaxing atmosphere, and awesome food! Everyone I've talked to loves it, even if they aren't vegetarian/vegan.
