Inside: The place is small, outdated and dry looking. There are a few low-top tables in the front and high-top tables in the back... just 2 rows of tables. The best places are in the middle, but you won't miss anything else. The table selection was first offered for the first time. The bar is almost half the size of the seating area. I absolutely hated the video recordings on the TV (some very old and outdated video). Bathroom was clean and spacious, 1 stable for each sex. Staff: I didn't take care of the magician. The bartender was okay. It was very cold outside. The magician came out to ask what customer was first here, as if he wanted us to wait outside to process any customer. I immediately told him it doesn't matter who first came here, we all are made with standing in the cold, which I didn't like the mood I got from him and also not the two customers who were out with us. Show: It was okay. If you are looking for something, then pay the overpriced ticket amount and show yourself early to choose your table. The magician makes card tricks and reads people's minds. He's got some little jokes between his magic. Crowd participation is via the board. He not only selects people from one side of the room. Parking: street parking is tight, unless you go some... Garage Parking requires a short walk Note: You can bring food, but you have to eat it before the show starts. You do not need to use all your drinks cards at the beginning. The bartender will come by after the show starts to see if you want something. You can also go to the bar during the break in the middle of the show.
I got on 11. March 2023 secured the performance of Spenser for a birthday party on site. If I could give his show 10 stars, I would. In short, his performance is excellent! It was a 2-hour show; in the first hour he took a 20-minute walk around the performance at each of 3 guest tables, each consisting of 10 people. He woke her an illusion with his series of card tricks-truly! For the 2nd hour, referred to as formal performance, he participated the majority of the audience in a variety of illusions and card games. There were some sceptics in the audience, but even they were calm and impressed by Spenser's skills and adeptity in creating the ultimate illusions. How did he do that? I still can't find out how a random card I chose, looked and put back in his deck ended up taking up a window in the restaurant! My guests are still talking about the show-many plan to visit his venue-Illusions Bar Theater in the near future for one of his weekends. They loved the way he played the audience in his show. He is extremely professional, friendly and customer-oriented, all aspects of a successful business. We sincerely wish him much success. Had a great time here. Spencer and Nicole are the ultimate team together. They make this even so fun with their charm, smiles and all together laughs. Spencer is the magician and Nicole is the head bartender. This show is interactive so be prepared to be called on! Trust me, they won't get up and embarrass you in any way or throw knives at you. All the tricks and illusions are centered around cards. I can't remember the exact number of people that each show holds but it might be around 30 or so. Plenty of space around you. You'll be seated at a table facing the stage and bar. They do make their own drinks and during the show, Nicole will come around to get drink orders so you don't have to get up infront of everyone. Absolutely would do this again. Their energy brings the show together and its a lot a fun. Who doesn't want to drink and be a part of card tricks?
This is one of the hidden in plain sight gems in Baltimore I always try to take out of towners. Do you enjoy laughter and amazement? Then this is the place for you. Spencer is a dynamo and a real delight to witness in action. Don't be shy--you may be part of the show. I won't go into too much detail so as not to spoil the surprise but you may find your brain churning as you attempt to figure out how he does what he does!
