Illusive is the name of this restaurant and that can do its location. You'd never know it's here unless you knew about it. It is hidden behind other buildings on Ferry Steet. But once you find it, you won't be disappointed. Illusive was recently a finalist in a contest for the best burger in NY, and with how much I love burgers I decided to see if she deserves it. I ordered the Empire Smash Burger, who was their entry for best burgers, and honestly after the attempt Burger from most other finalists (and the winner), the Empire Smash gets my voice as the best burger. It has two crushed beef patents, candied bacon, cheddar, salad, Bourbon BBQ sauce and on a roasted brioche role. The burger has soooo much taste! Your bacon is super crispy and tasty on your own and is at home on this burger. The beef is excellent and very juicy, it is the core of this amazing burger. I wish I had more of the BBQ sauce to take home, it would probably be great to eat anything or even on my own! I don't understand how this burger wasn't the winner and only a finalist, I went to Syracuse and had the winner Burger on the previous day, and it wasn't as good as that. My only real complaint with the burger was that I felt it had too much raw onion, but this is a personal preference and I still ate it and enjoyed everything immensely. The burger also came home made with potato chips, they were also great, they were freshly made and perfectly cooked to crispy, but not burned. The restorer and the bathrooms were clean, the staff are also excellent and friendly. Prices are reasonable, parking lots are abundant, and overall this place has a great atmosphere. I'm glad to come back sometime.
Great place! Super weird location, but overstand it because it's worth it. Clean. Many parking spaces, the staff is very nice. Limited children's menu as expected as it is a kind of bar fusion restaurant. Maybe you could boot it from Hudson. However, they were very accommodating for a unique choice for children's meals. Offer gluten-free options to go with their appetizers. Food is unique in combination, the most unique names I have seen in a while. 6 stars for creativity! Seats inside and outside are comfortable. Little. Reservations probably ideal for 6 o'clock!! External seats are just as funny. There are many artworks on the walls and some are for sale. Very nice. Disabled. Kitchen was open what was really cool to see the hard work. Funny dishes. Unique frits. The bar is also quite funny in appearance. The bathrooms are clean, but only one stable.
Great burger and great service. I was worried when I wasn't asked for how well I would like the burger, but it came out perfect, it was nice a juicy. Would definitely go back again! Also had a very good craft beer selection.
Food is great. I got one down from the burger. Soooo good and friend got a chicken sandwich special, which was also great. The Artichoke Spinat-Dip is dying. That would eat everything. The waitress was very nice. I'll go.
