We shared selections on the left side of the menu and enjoyed a delightful meal. Everything was presented beautifully and full of flavor. My favorite was the mezze platter and the falafel, which I have never had in the many years I have come to Insalata 's. What a treat! Our server was perfect. She gave us great advice about wine to go with our food. She gave us just the right amount of attention. We wrapped up the evening sharing mango sorbet and pigs in mud. Delicious!
Great menu with diverse options. Good cooking with very fresh ingredients and interesting/unique preparations they obviously put care into their food. Pleasant dining space and gracious service. A great find! Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate a dairy restriction. Parking: Onsite parking spaces are available but limited. Street parking is available in front but also limited. May need to park on a side street and walk over.
We love Insalata's and celebrated another family birthday there. We sat at the raised banquet floor indoors. Food and service were excellent. However, the percussive electric guitar music in the background boosted the noise level higher as people tried to talk and hear each other over the music. We would really appreciate a softer and more mellow musical background. The noise level made it hard to relax and enjoy our dinners fully!
Insalata's never disappoints . The Caesar salad and seared salmon were simply delicious . Great cocktails, wines and wonderful strawberry short cake to top off a great evening celebrating my Dad's 96th birthday . It's my go-to restaurant when in Marin .
