When passing Bellinzona, it has become our tradition to eat at this restaurant, conveniently located in front of the train station. Our kid will have a pizza (apparently delicious, and even served with lactose-free mozarella), while the adults will have some dish of the day....This summer we ate here twice. I tried their vegan dish, "Fresh tagliolini with carbonara of bell peppers, Ticino organic tofu, sweet paprika and courgette"... and was quite disappointed (basically it was just pasta with some tofu). The other time, we simply ordered the two dishes of the day (fish) – which was perfect and tasty
I stayed there when I went for a medical congress. My wife had also joined, the place is right in front of a train to Lugano, and all the way to Milan. The place is great, cheaper than staying in Lugano but just that time...is spent on the train ride to Lugano). The stay at the hotel was very nice, got the penthouse room, clean and comfortable, they also have breakfast, and location is great with lot of walking and hiking to do in Bellinzona and the fort nearby
We had dinner at this restaurant which is part of the hotel and Spa Internazionale were we stayed the night. Service is very friendly. The have a terrace so you can sit outside if you want. Inside was freezing cold on the hot evening. They...have a good selection of wines even by the glass. The pizza Calzone was good not special. The Vitello Tonnato overpriced and the sauce tasted just like a mayonaise. Luckely we received a discount for staying in the hotel
Initially we intended to go to the neighbour restaurant, but they didn't serve lunch, so they sent us here. The options for lunch are pizza and pasta. My hb opted for pasta, I ordered pizza. It had artichokes which I cannot stand so I asked...to replace them with olives or mushrooms. Food was average, no wow-effect. Would like to go there for dinner. Probably, it would be better
