Excellent Italian Deli! Molto buono! The words come homemade, family and delightful when I think of Clemente Bakery. It is more than a deli because they have hot food, pastries, food, various types of bread, including Focaccia, and special dishes. They also make catering and special bread orders. This is a beautiful deli with many tables to dine in and enjoy your favorite Italian treats. This is a family business where you can see the entire family working together. The rest of the staff has been working there for many years. I lived in the area years ago and that was my favorite stop every day. Now I have to stay there every time I visit New Jersey. Prices are very reasonable, so I laugh when I see people complain about high prices. You would have a hard time ordering a sandwich in Miami that usually starts at $10.95 for a regular panini. I miss Clemente. The ladies at the counter are friendly and knowledgeable. In my experience, they can also be fun. It is nice to see a family so united (although I cannot imagine working with my parents or relatives all day). It's probably not easy. Also, it is not easy to maintain with such a large and worked up business, but these ladies are there every day of very early in the morning to make sure that all delicious dishes are well prepared and all the goods are okay. Clemente’s is a large store with counters of food and a small market. It is a one-stop place where you can get everything you need – from a hot lunch to all the ingredients you need to make an authentic Italian home cooked meal. The ladies can give you recommendations for almost everything because they are very proud of their products. They also make amazing cappuccinos. The bread and the Focaccia are charming and very authentic for the Puglia region, especially Bari. They offer a wide range of delicious oven baked barese bread and fokkacias. Pizzas are from the scratch. Taralli and pastries are also very good, especially when they make seasonal delicacies such as zeppoles. Pastas and other hot dishes including risotto, veal, chicken and beef, change daily, and Fridays that they normally prepare seafood. They also contain one of their delicious rolls of bread with almost every dish. In the deli section they have the guys make delicious subs. One of my favorites is the Clemente special with ham, salami, pepperoni and fresh mozzarella in a crispy hero. You can add some delicious roasted peppers and sunflowers tomato for an additional fee. I mentioned that they make fresh mozzarella every day. It's dying. They also do catering that I ordered in many times and it was always well prepared and on time. I personally love the fact that almost every Italian speaks. There is that extra je ne sais quoi to this beautiful decor. It may be hard to find this bakery because it is in an industrial area, but if you are in Bergen County and love Italian food you should do yourself a favor and put it on your GPS. It's a must try! It will be a lot to do during the lunch hours, as soon as you get to know the menu, it is better to call ahead and make your order by phone to pick up later, so avoid some waiting in the line. Covid related details employees wear masks at any time and protective equipment, sanitizer available, and practice social distancing.

I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina a few years ago, where is much easier and cheaper. One that doesn't have North Carolina is the bread! I miss it and every time we travel north, I have to make a trip to Clemente. The bread is always fresh with a crispy crust. The sandwiches are filled with high quality meat and cheese and are always the way you want them. Apart from the family, there are few things I still enjoy from New Jersey and Clemente's is definitely one of them.

My first trip to Clemente is from Virginia and I'll tell you what.... Best Dang 3 Meat, fresh Mozzarella Sandwich you will find this side of the Atlantic! Also got some of the homemade vodka sauce and was amazing the next day at home about Penne Pasta! Thank you for all the help and suggestions! Come back soon!

First time visitor. Impressive, well stocked bakery. Authentic Italian imported cold cuts and other items. Fresh delicious bread, mozzarella and prosciutto. Definitely will return. Friendly staff.

Clemente Bakery was clean, the food and pastry selection was amazing. This is the most authentic feeling bakery I have ever been too. I will definitely be visiting here again.
