Izakaya Isse - Tisch reservieren

Yes this a kind of tapas Japanese restaurant, (this is the meaning of izakaya) : a bistro with small courses to share... or not!The food is really authentic, fresh, tasty, good! I feel here like at home. I come so often that I have my own Whisky bottle! Taste everything, you would have pleasure! The Sake combination is crazy because they know what they are talking about...For the diner it is a little bit expensive if you want to enjoy many courses, for the lunch the menu list is super short, no so expensive and very fresh...I come here for years now! The restaurant manager has changed in septembre... The new one is super gentle and very welcome! Continuing the experience.Just a place that i love.

We wanted a brief change from French cuisine and wine, but this was a mistake. The restaurant was mostly empty at 730 on a Friday and stayed at least half empty. The menu is limited (no option for a la carte sushi/sashimi). We had a small sashimi plate, along with eggplant and clam/shitaki plates. All were mediocre and overpriced: the sashimi was a bit tough and not very flavorful; the clams were small and uninteresting covered by some standard shitaki; the eggplant had a nice sauce, but was not special. We were going to order more, but decided to go to a wine bar, which had better food (plus wine!!)

Had lunch, lovely, staff super, very helpful, food delicious, the price was very good for the quality, a very Japanese experience, sake was good, sashimi, donburi, bento, highly recommend. Will be back.

Came here for lunch and had the salmon teriyaki which came with rice, miso soup, pickled veg and a side of greens with a hint of sesame seasoning.

Wonderful food here in this hidden gem. It was a late night in a part of town I don't know too well.
