Joe Italiano's Maplewood

This location is attached to the Moorestown mall. They have an entrance outside as well as one inside one of the malls hallways. Seating wise they have outdoor patio style seating while inside you have bar, high tables, Regular tables, and booths.We ordered the calamari to start us off which was delicious. It was a very generous serving that included fried jalapeños and cocktail sauce.All entrees come with a salad and bread. The bread was a loaf and some garlic bread. These were soft with a bit of crunch. The salad was tossed in the home dressing nicely however I wish the onion was cut up more. I mistook a giant piece of onion for lettuce.I ordered the wild corn and crab bisque which was fantastic. This was by far the best thing here. It was thick but still liquid with bug chunks of real crab in it.The pasta comes with either meatballs, Sausage, or mushrooms. I went with mushrooms with the cheese calvatelli. It wasn't bad but didn't knock my socks off like the soup did. Each piece was not too small or large with cheese filling. They included a good helping of mushrooms with mine.The wait staff were fantastic helping us get a high chair for our son. They came over periodically to check in on us without it being every couple of minutes or a long break between. They were also so friendly when our son accidentally threw a plate on the ground shattering it.I recommend this place for the appetizers and the soup along with the wait staff.

Good food but sloooooooow. I feel bad because I think our server was overworked. My wife swore she was the only one handling all of the tables. That being said, we weren't handed menus when we walked in by the hostess. It took forever for anyone to notice. Our son's meal came out way before ours. We waited a long time before anyone asked about our check. We couldn't have looked more ready to go. I had one leg on the floor sitting out our high top table, my wife had her purse around her neck and my son gave up and decided to try taking a snooze on the couch. It couldn't have been anymore obvious if we drove the car into the lobby that we were ready to go. I thought offering to take something off our bill would have been called for for taking so long. Our server even commented two times that they were backed up in the kitchen.

I had never been here before, I was reading the reviews and they were scary. I was seeing a lot of negative words about this place.I am very pleased to let you know that we had a nice experience. We walked in for early dinner on a Saturday night at 5 o’clock and everything was clean, we were seated immediately, our waitress was lovely and gave us very kind, professional and courteous service, and our food was good and fresh, including the salad, and the prices were very reasonable for post pandemic.My husband ordered chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta and I had the Maplewood salad with grilled chicken. My husband said the angel hair pasta was cooked well and my salad was fresh. Garlic bread was very tasty and the non-garlic bread was also fresh and very good.Parking: Moorestown Mall parking lot

We ordered appetizers before dinner. One of these was shrimp cocktail. We received four small shrimp with two small plastic containers of cocktail sauce. Definitely not worth the cost. Server was cordial but the service was very slow. They could do better.

Homemade pasta. Full bar. Entertainment on Friday night. The food was excellent. Our server was attentive and quick to respond to requests. The drinks were good and not overpriced.
