Solid spot that feels straight out of the 50s.The staff working the tues night that I ordered for pickup were so friendly and courteous they had no issue with me eating it there when I arrived, and even gave me some extra au jus sauce for dipping, no complaints!FOOD: I got the classic hot pastrami deluxe combo, which came with crinklecut fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was tasty but a bit dry, hence the extra au jus sauce. The sandwich is also stuffed with a TON of meat!! Two hungry adults could easily split the combo. They do offer half sandwiches on the menu, and while it costs a little more than half the price of the full sandwich, i can see why it is offered.The cole slaw was your classic (American) fairly wet cole slaw. Good, but more mayo than I usually like. The pickles and peppers that came with the sandwich were also a great pairing.As their menu says, they do pack up the meal togo very nicely in a cake box. Though it 's not exactly the easiest meal to eat on the go, with the fat sandwich and au jus if you get it.There are cash only signs floating around but i think they are old; the register looks like a modern tablet POS that takes the usual forms of (plastic) payment.
The pastrami was tasty. The meat was soft and the French bread. Also, the chicken sandwich was put together well and flavorful. The fries were delicious. They give you pickles on the side and refills. Although, the price point is high but I blame inflation. It’s like a blast to the past when you go in or outside to eat. A good family place.
