Very Good. I 've been eating here off and on for the last 15 years. As most reviews indicate, this place is a bit of a hidden gem in a dead mall. Definitely make the effort to find the place and enjoy some gyros. Gyros sandwich is excellent. Tzatziki can be a bit on the salty side sometimes, but is still very good. He also has these potatos he serves that he marinades in something. Whatever they are... they 're awesome. They are usually paired with chicken. Both sell out quickly. Don 't forget to order a piece of baklava. One criticism I have is that dinner is not as good as lunch. That is, the place closes at 7PM, so, not wanting to waste food, items that run out are not replenished and are just no longer available for purchase that day. Additionally, the pitas can get a little dry toward the end of the day. So, if you 're going to eat at John 's then come for lunch. I got a laugh out of the Smoking Permitted signs on the North wall. Smoking has been banned in restaurants in Nebraska for about 7 years now. So, in 7 years John hasn 't gotten around to taking the signs down. I 'm tempted to buy a pack of smokes and light up and when somebody says something I 'll just point at the sign. Restaurant is always clean and generally well-maintained. You have to use the mall restrooms at the far Northwest corner of the lower level as John 's does not have restrooms of its own.
