the josef lies in the middle of the city and offers a nice ambiente and a small beer garden under young chestnut trees. the menu is very clear and offers good home cooking. the xxl salat with baking chicken is good and a large portion, the white carving (from veal/where was lemon and sardelle)? is in order. the clams don't go. many are not open and the mussel meat is much too small. naja: you should always snuggle in months with a r in the name.The great manko am josef is the personal. sadly superb and unfriendly when only men sit on the table

In Kaufmanns Palais with entry from either Josef Restaurant area on Landstrasse or Bismarkstrasse.Lovely typical old culture cafe interior in this 120 year old building. The wooden side walls have plaques with the names of all the famous people who have visited .I had the house made Vienna Apple Strudel with nuts. It was far too dense

despite the table reservation (event etc.) we were made with a small table! that was enough to drink. to ask if we could get another table, the waiter was gone. then have paid the drink at another waiter and that changed locally! there is enough in the surroundings...The foundation was they have an additional event!

not only has kaufmann's a great ambience, it also serves delicious food in a pleasant and friendly way. very enjoyable for a meal at any time of the day. tried it for breakfast several times, all freshly cooked with freshly squeezed juices. highly recommended.

A fantastic and true Austrian Coffee House expierence. once you ender the Kaufmanns the smell drives you right in. music is amazingly modern mixed into it to provide a excellent coffee expierence.
