"I can't find their latest menu on Yelp, so I'm posting a pictures. : I think their fish is always fresh. And there are many Korean foods as well, so if you are looking for a sushi restaurant and Korean A La Carte in Santa Monica, I recommend it!"

Kaya Sushi is a hit and miss.. Located across from Costco in a tiny strip mall, below Burke Williams. Okay, so... Their lunch menu is literally inedible. I ordered their rice, with chicken and veggies and the chicken smelled.. not right. The rice had an odd taste and film, and the vegetables tasted like fish. Eghh Our server who has been there for quite some time (I used to be a regular), possibly an owner or manager was so aggressive and self consumed that I was literally afraid to ask for something else. So I paid with tax and tip nearly $40 dollars for bad food and terrible service. The 2 Stars however, are for their regular menu. I've been MANY time and their crab and lobster hand rolls are some of the best I've ever had. Their apps are good, and their rolls are decent too... I don't suggest visiting during lunch, and if you do. Stay away from the lunch menu, my friends ordered other items as well and were not too thrilled with what they received either. Sorry Yelpers, this spot needs some work. Cheers xx

Food was good. My issue is I paid a $50 check including a 20% tip and was not satisfied. Paying $50 for myself alone for food, I expect to be full and satisfied. $50 is more than enough money to pay for enough sushi to be satisfied. Would not come again just because of this; I want to support a business that cares about satisfying their customer and even with increases in price, this is not appropriate. I purchased: a small Sapporo, 2-piece yellowtail nigiri, sweet salmon roll (tasted amazing btw) and a pork belly yakitor.

This is the second time I come here, it's just as I remember delicious. We had the combination tempura, tempura California roll, dragon roll and popcorn lobster roll, no complaints here loved it all. Price point is ok but definitely worth it because it was delicious. I don't mind paying as long as it worth it. We live in LA what do we expect. The service was great helpful and attentive. It's a small space but all the tables are at a decent distance. Low light, relaxed vibe.

Do not get the dynamite roll unless you want to be sorely disappointed and pissed AF. The high price $22 and lack of quality was horrific we anticipated a pile of saucy scallops on top of a bed of fresh California rolls per the yelp review pic but instead we were disgusted and disturbed to receive a tiny pathetic foil tin with 5 tiny tic tac pcs of soggy scallops and dried mushrooms. Byeee, Kaya!
