Killingworth Castle

We had a lovely stay and good night sleep. The food was nice. We appreciated beautiful presentation and great service from the restaurant manager, however the food was overpriced. We both disliked mackerel as a starter (very strange texture and flavour) and the main was a small portion. However, the breakfast was very tasty. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Great place with a lovely cosy feeling, lovely organic pale ale, also their food looks and smells amazing. It turns out Jim the landlord pulled my pint and had time for a chat and made me feel very welcome. Top draw- I’ll be back for some food with my wife as soon as we can get a night off from the kids!! The food was delicious! Good portion sizes and we felt the price point was reasonable given the attention to detail, setting and quality. Our waiter Jim was so attentive, informative and welcoming and this set us up for an amazing weekend. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury
