After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous about the customer service. I first asked some questions, and the personal was nothing less than professional, informative and polite. I was not disappointed in the coming. the girls were very attentive,...political and moderate. I had a complicated order and they took everything without hitting an eyelid. very impressed. I also had a chat with the chef who was beautiful and welcoming. outdoor seating are a good option (a bit noisy with the pedestrian crossing). also spacious down when they are as we are nervous over interiors with many people and lack of ventilation.
read a few of the reviews here and was surprised by the hard of some of them, all I can say is we are all humans and we sometimes have a bad day. that's one of the most beautiful caffes I've been in for a long time. the truthahn and swarm in deck sandwich I had was tasty and very welcome after a long walk that was very fresh and the service couldn't fail. I will definitely go back soon the afternoon tee that was delivered to the two ladies sitting next to us looked amazing and when we asked the price seemed great. I bought a rocky road to come out later, which were very cheeky, but nice!
Dropped in here Sunday lunchtime on spec after a stroll up and down the village. After a very, very enjoyable Jamaica jerk chicken ciabatta and a hot minted lamb ciabatta together with a side salad for one and crisps and coleslaw for the other we...were ready to go home and pass on our traditional Sunday roast that evening. It was also good to see all the staff being very strict on the COVID precautions, politely reminding customers what they could and couldn't do as well as giving the tables and chairs a thorough clean once customers left.
First time I have been in here despite eating and dining in uppermill for several years. Well what a nice surprise the sandwiches and cakes were delicious the only down side being if your a little fussy like myself your choices might be a little...limited but the overall standard was very good, service was excellent and very helpful. My wife and I enjoyed it throughly.
