food: 4.75/5 service: 5/5 ambiance: 4/5 overall: 5/5!! came here after a long day of driving and of fasting and wanted something in the area to satisfy my soupy noodle cravings. kokoro is the place to go! located in a plaza with other businesses, kokoro is definitely a must visit in spokane. we sat ourselves and a kind waiter took our order. with my family, we ordered three ramens and a karaage appetizer to share. the food came out so quickly- like 5 minutes tops and i was surprised at the quality of the food. the karaage is tender, juicy chunks of chicken meat and is lightly battered. the chicken is freshly made, but some pieces we could tell had been fried and cooled and refried again because they were slightly dry. otherwise- solid appetizer! i would pass on the mayo that comes on the side though. this is what knocked gave my food rating a 4.75/5. i got the spicy tonkotsu and it was delicious! generous portions, really good price, thick tender cuts of pork, and the toppings were generous too (corn, wood ear mushroom, bamboo shoots, a whole soft boiled egg (this was superb), and lots of noodles)! my parents also really liked their ramens too, they ordered the black garlic and tonkotsu flavors!! overall if i am in the area i will definitely come back again. they also have boba here if you're into that.
