Küchenhof - Tisch reservieren

It was rather by chance that we stopped by the Küchenhof after a visit to the Altenberg fairytale forest. The modern restaurant is in a picturesque location next to Altenberg Cathedral. Apart from a grumpy greeting from a member of staff at the counter, we were served in a friendly manner. However, we had to wait almost an hour for a Viennese schnitzel with fried potatoes €28), a Bergisch trout with parsley potatoes €28) and braised suckling pig cheeks with potato-mustard puree €24), which I found it unreasonably long given the half-empty courtyard. Apart from the schnitzel, the portions were meager; Only two halved potatoes were served with the trout. We weren 't impressed with the taste either: the schnitzel was okay, but the fried potatoes tasted a bit burnt and were very greasy. The pork cheeks were tender, but the apple and leek ragout a few lukewarm apple slices and a few pieces of leek) didn 't match the taste of the hearty dark sauce, which also covered the barely seasoned mashed potatoes. The trout was good, but because of the sparse side dish it wasn 't filling. We are disappointed and will not be coming back.

Dieser Ort war früher wirklich gut, als sie sich öffneten. Allmählich sahen wir die Qualität ab. Jetzt ist es völlig vom Maßstab weg. Wir hatten so hohe Hoffnungen, dass es so wenige anständige Restaurants in der Nachbarschaft gibt. Wir trafen den Besitzer in den ersten Tagen. Sie hatte so große Pläne, wie sie uns die große Tour gab. Ich erinnere mich nicht an ihren Namen, aber sie war eine sehr nette Dame aus der Türkei, die mit einem lokalen königlichen Mann verheiratet war. Ich bin so traurig zu sagen, dass das Restaurant zu einer großen Enttäuschung geworden ist. Im Eingangstunnel gibt es schluckende Nester an der Decke, die bei der Dämmerung für viel Aktivität sorgen, ziemlich cool! Das Potential ist da. Aber kein Geist ist weg.

Unfortunately, after half an hour we still hadn't been served; neither with drinks nor with a menu. Afterwards you were spoken to angrily about leaving the location. The poor service was apparently not noticed by the waitress. The restaurant, which is still full despite everything, owes its visitors to the fact that it has a monopoly position in the immediate vicinity of Altenberg Cathedral. What a shame, given the great atmosphere! Service: 1

Das Restaurant ist wunderschön gelegen und hat eine moderne, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir waren am Abend dort und das Restaurant war voll auf Kapazität. Die Reservierung ist daher sehr empfehlenswert. Wir wählten ein Gänsegericht, das sehr lecker war. Das Fleisch ist wunderbar zart. Auch der Wiener Schnitzel war gut. Trotz der Massen war der Service professionell. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend...
