"We unexpectedly went to this restaurant as the one we had booked surprisingly decided to close on Bastille day! Great little place and we all enjoyed it but the portions were enormous, you could have been in the US or Germany not France. Starve yourself the day before !"

Doesn't look that promising but actually is rather pleasant once you arrive. A quirky and pretty airconed room with a nice welcome. We were a party of six and went hungry as is advised, well forget that as you need to have an enormous appetite to do the menu justice. Aperitifs served with a nice selection of dips/toasts were generous. Next a huge selection of potted starters, there was something for anyone there. Next came a very strange cold scrambled egg and tomato dish (typique provencal apparently) which nobody liked really. Guinea fowl next, a bit dry, again hearty, by now all were rather jaded. Massive portions of cheese to follow, mainly smelly and goaty and we're all past it to be honest. We played around with the puds which were fine and they served some really interesting digestifs at the end. Great value and a bit of a mixed bag on our night, not sure we'd go back but give it a go, it's all done with love.

We came here, for the first time, three years ago after finding it by accident. We were blown away by it then! Be aware that neither of the two ladies preparing and presenting the wonderful range of food and drink speak a word of English and the menu is in French. Also don 't come hungry starve yourself for a couple of days (8 the volume and quality of the food is beyond comparison, perhaps the nearest experience would be in some of the greatest Italian Agri tourisme de gustation 'events '. Neither the quality or (unfortunately the quantity has declined and the meal remains an event we should all experience at least once! This, to us, is a REAL experience of tradional French living vive la difference!

We have been here before its an experience, Don't expect fine food it is as the name says paysanne provence food. Starting with appetizers and homemade unusual aperitifs du maison in many flavors, the entrée 9 different small bowls with salads, obvious cold water standard on the table. Local wine of choice red rose or white. Mains dish, good cheese platter Dessert and Coffe anand home made digestive. Just below 40 euro is great price/value. The downside all the food is simply too much even for me as a big eater. But still highly recommend place.

I had the pleasure of being taken on my birthday and it was indeed a memorable evening. The service and hospitality were incredibly warm and attentive, without being obsequious. The food itself was very well done yet the only thing holding back from the five star rating is the somewhat limited menu in terms of the range of choices... my friends loved it so much they returned twice more over the coming two weeks. Me, I'm fine for this to be an annual return, but then, I know my palate is not as broad as most so this is surely worth exploring.
