This restaurant is a model of what the lone eatery in a small French town should be; starting with good food at fair prices, and then adding a few extra touches. Most important, of course, is the food: in this case, well-prepared and fairly standard cuisine, excellently prepared and using fresh ingredients. The dining room has an exposed and restored antique ceiling, wood floors and good lighting; tables have tablecloths and white paper, for a clean, modern look in an historic location. I liked the owners a great deal. They concept of hospitality: making guests feel welcome. They are kind, personable and funny. Will go back!
Now eaten here twice, the first time was on the opening night and the second a few weeks after. Both experiences were good and the second better as you would expect. Service is excellent, food good quality - both times I ate from the cheapest menu (not a price thing but it had nothing that I could see that would be improved by spending more!). Wine, we just had the house wine in pots (Carafe) which was much better than I expected - so another tick, waiting to sit on the terrace and eat!
We had a lovely meal at this restaurant which was full, so booking advisable if you want to sit outside.The owner sat us in one of the big windows so we had a great view of the courtyard where everyone was sitting.Great value for money and food to die for at 19.50 euros for 3 courses.Just perfect
We are currently staying with friends and enjoyed a long relaxing lunch. We opted for the menu de jour and were not disappointed, every course was really excellent and will definitely return next time we return to the area!
