We absolutely loved la Bodeguita. We came here many times, just for drinks, for tapas, and best of all, for the seafood paella. Whatever you order, the staff owners are super friendly, welcoming and efficient. The tapas are great, especially the grilled cheese with mojo and jam, which we ordered with the pan tumaca and dubbed it the best cheese and tomato sandwich in the world), the tortilla super fresh) and the calamari crisp with not too much batter). The seafood paella was honestly the best I have ever had. It’s not on the menu, you have to order it a day or so in advance, because they make everything from scratch. The flavours are exquisite, the rice perfectly al dente, and the seafood generous. We loved this meal so much we had it twice during our stay. The owners of La Bodeguita have now opened a second business in Los Cristianos I think called Mojo Picon). If you’re ever out that way you should look it up, I’m sure it will be equally fantastic.
The La Bodeguita family creates a welcoming tone for all Playa De San Juan. You can visit this bar for coffee and a croissant, tapas and a cold beer, a glass of wine or whatever; enjoy the music and the vibrant and friendly local vibe. There's often a constant flow of drinks and casual tapas coming out of the kitchen, to enjoy with friends or on your own. If a regular coffee is not enough, you can also get one of the best barraquitos in town here.
We managed to get in to this restaurant without a booking one evening and were we glad we did. We both had fillet steaks and they were the most tender steaks we have had in a long time. We didn't do the restaurant justice as we weren't interested in a long evening meal that night unfortunately but we will return to it and sample the rest of the menu if we can get a table
