La bodega de marseillan plage

The last night of our night stay and was recommended La bodegas as our final meal for our family of who had visited over previous years, actually yrs from our first visit to marseillan plage,aged We were excited but soon to...be disappointed as the meal was very poor, starters were not all correct, my husband's meal was returned as inedible( steak that was well over cooked and cold),my vegan son who had ordered a vegan pizza had a second attempts at serving the correct ingredients! Tagliatelle carbonara was cold and tasteless and to top it all they insisted upon paying the bill that we were short- this is after they took the payment away ??? Please check your payment before it leaving the table!! Total bill was and they said we only paid how and why would we have left that for people??? Crazy and will never return watch out for the bill scam!!!!

This restaurant names itself La Bodega, the name of a famous tapas restaurant. In the past they served fine tapas, but the reality is horrible. We ordered tapas for two people. I’m honest, this was on the menu for dining. We only got FRIED bites....FRIED bites! Do you call this tapas?! The waiter told me that the concept of the restaurant had changed. However, how could you serve somebody this kind of food for dinner. Especially when you have served fine tapas in the past. We didn’t eat the stuff and luckily, but right, we didn’t have to pay for it.

The waitress seemed to be serving behind the bar as well and therefore the service was slow. The food was pub type grub with the addition of hand made pizza's. We both chose Pizza and they were okay although the smoked salmon one was a...bit rich and salty. After the meal I went to the toilet which was near the bar area, if I had visited the toilet earlier I would not have eaten there, it was not very clean. Why did we eat there? Due to the lack of open restaurants in Marseillan Plage in October.

A bit average. Service was a bit lukewarm and there was a long wait for our meals. Not bad but not good either.
