La Coquille - Tisch reservieren

I have been to this restaurant several times. This past weekend when I ordered the salmon, from literally the very first bite, the salmon was SO salty, I was shocked. I've ordered it previously, but not for a very long time. Even my sister immediately noticed my reaction and commented. I tried a second bite, cutting it in half, trying to give it another chance. Tried a small third bite, not to embarrass my family, who have been frequent, faithful regular diners here for well over 30 years. But it was just bottom line inedible. I couldn't finish it at all . When the waiter, who wasn't 100% attentive either, and/or busboy came to clear the dishes, no one asked if I didn't enjoy my dish, which should've been obvious to anyone. That is a pet peeve for me. One should notice if someone is not enjoying what they ordered, check, and offer something else. Yes, I could've done this for myself, but again, I didn't want to embarrass my family and make a huge deal. Not only this, an inedible dish, but no one checked, and in my opinion, my dish should've been taken off a VERY expensive bill. So, be warned....

Food was lackluster. The atmosphere of the place is comically not French. It’s French food, sure, but the waitstaff and manager do not run the place like any true French restaurant you’d find outside of Long Island. Go to manhattan for a better, authentic experience.

It's a beautiful place,parking lot, food was really great and amazing stuff. Thank you and see you soon

Always wonderful. Onion soup, tuna Tatar, scallops, crab cake Lam chops, duck. It’s a winner .
