"was very busy, obviously popular with the natives even on Thursday afternoon, but we have table as we arrived early. Unfortunately, one of the kinder dishes had to be returned, was overcooked to the point, it was unusable, but was quickly replaced....The rest of the food was very good and €18 fir 3 courses on the Midi menu was very good. thunfish, steak and a decent apple desert"

as sad as poor this restaurant was today. I always think if one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong. our menus arrived immediately, 15 minutes passed aperitif order lasted 35 minutes ordering lasted 55 minutes starter without cutlery, 10 minutes. later cute came after 2 requests. two nets the other two did not come, after another 3 reclaimed the other 2 came. had to send a steak back, as it was less than medium. the steak was returned immediately, but was as rare as it was not worse. I gave up at this point, could not send it back. ate a small amount, but it was hard and chew with too much blood pooling around the plate. the staff was all polite, but there were too few of them for the number of people who eat. we complained and got a reduction on the bill, but ultimately the food and service were incredibly bad.

We were staying in the village of Saint Quentin la Poterie, so a visit was always on the cards. We dropped by one lunchtime to make a reservation for the following evening. On the way back out my I was drawn to an enormous plateful...of giant gambas. We never made it back to the street, instead found ourselves a table and ordered two portions of gambas and a carafe of house rose. The gambas were delicious, perfectly grilled and cost just €16.50 for the plate of five gambas plus either a basket of French fries or baked potato and vegetables. On our second visit we shared an enormous perfect salad as a starter followed by brochette of steak. We dined on three occasions and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant as a very enjoyable relaxed professionally run establishment.

This restaurant is about the butcher, so meat seemed the best direction to go. All our food choices were excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly, the appetizer was fantastic, and the outdoor patio was just right for the balmy August evening. The service was friendly...(and as all French restaurants seem to be slow. I think they just space things out differently than we do in the US, but it takes some getting used to the spaces between ordering, appetizers, your meal, dessert and then the bill.

We had a wonderful meal here at a very reasonable price. This is a restaurant owned by the local butcher and using his meat and charcuterie. I strongly recommend this restaurant. They have a choice of 4 different Tartars , steaks and Gourmet burgers. Starters...are very large and better shared between 2 or 3...treat them as tapas. Desert was also excellent. Service was good and unintrusive. Unusually there is a good view of the wine cellar from the toilet.
