Had the most delicious lunch here one week ago, sadly on the last day of our holiday. If we'd come earlier during our stay we definitely would have visited more than once.The food was beautifully presented, creative and utterly delicious. I know foie gras isn't to everyone's taste but if you're going to try it anywhere make sure it's here - it was simply the most scrumptious starter I've ever had!The service was brilliant. I get the feeling we were being served by the owner as he was extremely knowledgable, as well as being friendly and great with our 3yo daughter. He brought out some stale bread for her to feed the animals and gathered them all for her. She was overjoyed!Then the surrounds - a small farm with goats, chickens, ducks, ponies, donkey and some lovely little toys for kids. We sat on the small terrace and could watch our daughter play and feed the animals, the sunshine was beautiful, it was idyllic.A perfect afternoon, thank you!
A quirky little place run by a family team. A very traditional french menu with some interesting interpretations and twists, a good selection of wines and a knowledgeable host. Two of us tried Fois Gras for the first time in our 40+ years and it was OK but nothing the write home about. The magret de canard was nicely cooked but the meat wasn't the best quality; I've had much better for much less. The puddings were the best! At 40 Euro/head I expected the meal to have been better quality. It was nice, but not fantastic or amazing.
Should've done the months ago. We've visited twice over the last few years. The food is traditional French, excellently cooked the wine recommendations complement the food, the most expensive is not suggested- I think it's understood I'm no connoisseur. The small holding is brilliant for children. Highly recommend this to people visiting this region in France.
It's not cheap, but a hundred per cent worth it. Absolutely incredible food cooked and presented beautifully. The duck was melt in the mouth. Kids food great and the setting perfect for them, while also being perfect for us too. We'll definitely be back!
