We were a party of 6 but 2 of us were vegetarian/vegan. The staff created us a vegan main which was ok. It wasn’t wow as it was mainly couscous which wasn’t brilliantly flavoursome but it had a small side of a red dip in a bowl which I believe was tomato but any be sure tbh. Anyway that was very welcome with the dish. Also small decretive blobs of what appeared to be like mango chutney which was also great to jazz up the couscous. The rest of the group had various fish and meat dishes that they all really enjoyed. All the food was very well presented. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
We’re two Australian couples staying in Ceret for three weeks. Last night we discovered this little gem, Restaurant La Galerie. We chose the set menu at 19 euros (two choices of entree, main course and dessert) and were treated to a superb, beautifully presented fresh selection of food. The wine was also excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, so helpful and extremely well organised given that the courtyard area was fully booked. Thankyou LaGalerie, we will be highly recommending you to our Australian friends visiting Ceret later this year.
Great food and friendly service, but I will not return. Why? Sadly another of those restaurants now demanding that one orders desert at the same time as ordering starter and main course when selecting menu. Being hungry on arrival we opted for cheese course. Mid way through main course I would have preferred something different but alas too late. Why are so many restaurants intent on destroying one of the most civilised practices of dining in France? What was once considered an abomination is becoming more widespread. Because people grudgingly accept it.
This is a friendly restaurant with good quality and well priced menu. Best in Summer when you can have an outside table beside the fountain.
