la Genolière - Tisch reservieren

I joined a group who booked the whole restaurant for the evening. After driving to la givrine you walk uphill (not too strenuous) in the snow and after approximately 40 mn ( under the full moon for us) you arrive at the chalet and you are rewarded of your efforts by one of the best fondues I've ever eaten. It is a fondue moitié-moitié which means it is half vacherin and half emmenthal. Very creamy and not too strong on alcohol. We also had some dried meat (viande des grisons9.Deserts are also delicious and especially the tartelette au raisiné which is a kind of stewed apple juice. Not to be missed!The restaurant is not usually opened in the evening. I think you have to book. Call ahead and inquire

Nice and very typical and local mountain restaurant. Simple but good cuisine (cheese and regional meat specialities). Try to come on Fridays or Saturday if you can. Friendly staff but can get a bit harsh when stressed (so be prepared on sunny Sundays). Reservation recommended.

The restaurant is a perfect location for people who want to enjoy a short raquette hike before enjoying a delicious fondue. The restaurant is a really charming chalet, simple service but so kind and efficient. One of the best fondue I ate.

Rösti (uncooked potatos), Fondue (strange smell), Vegetable soup (industrial product) - all of it matched with rather heavy pricing. All in all, if you are not too tired, get another 2 km to the next restaurant.

Amazing fondue in outside in the snow and sunshine, great views after a 2km snowshoe/hike. Great for hosting guests to Switzerland, relaxing walk, even better under a full moon.
