La Guinguette Du Lac

Beautiful setting, very friendly service and great food. Have had three great weekend lunches here this summer. It's over an hour's drive away but definitely worth it. Best steak tartare I've ever had and the confit pork cheeks are scrumptious (don't be disappointed by what looks like a small portion for the latter because they are quite rich . Will definitely go back. Sat on the spacious covered terrace being kept cool by those misty sprays they sometimes use in the veg section of supermarkets :

We discovered the restaurant through our car breaking down and they were very helpful. We returned for dinner later in the week and really enjoyed the high quality of food. Steak and tartare were excellent as was the cod with chorizo sauce and it was a lovely family atmosphere and a completely full restaurant despite the secluded location. Lovely views over the lake.

We visited for lunch with friends on a lovely sunny day so a great venue in the countryside overlooking the Lac de Carces. There was a good choice of food and the 3 course lunch menu (with options) was only €19 and excellent value for money. Service was good and the staff very friendly Will certainly return

Definitely would recommend! The food was fantastic and traditional French! There was such a buzzing atmosphere. This restaurant is clearly a local family favourite as it was filled with happy customers.

Lovely simple restaurant. Not pretentious. Good food. Friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere. Perfect stop when visiting the area.
