This restaurant is tucked away in a small street of Châtellerault with off-street parking. I think it is essential to book.There are small, comfortable dining rooms with charming décor. Service is excellent - timely and not over-attentive.A real positive of the place is the very short menu - one meat dish and one fish on the dinner menu. This means that care and attention was given to its preparation and presentation resulting in a delicious dish. Some of our party had fish, others the beef and all were very happy. This is what French dining should be instead of the pizza-and-burger-serving-televison-blaring brasseries or the ubiquitous Quick, Flunch and McDo's that seem to be springing up everywhere.The restaurant is not expensive and extremely good value for money
We booked thru the internet, having read the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Our reservation was lost but luckily we were still welcome! So if you book online please check if you get a confirmation mail. With the early summer we ate in the garden and we had a lovely dinner. All courses were delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommended!
We have eaten at Maison d'Alice many times and recommend it to our guests. It is everyone's favourite. Excellent quality of food at incredibly reasonable prices. Great ambiance, friendly service and tastefully decorated little restaurant. You need to book. I most definitely recommend it.
Fabulous place, so beautifully decorated - service is at a slow but exceptionally friendly pace. It feels like you are being welcomed into a friends house for dinner. We found this place on Trip Advisor and during this trip we shall definately be returning. food was stunning.
