"At the end of our stay on the Cote d'Azure, we chose this restaurant right by the port. The service was very friendly and helpful in choosing the dishes. The starter, main course and dessert were of very good quality and well presented. The price...is appropriate for the quality of the dishes on offer and not overpriced. My recommendation!"

This restaurant is located on the little port alongside many others. It didn't appear to be as busy as many others and I wondered why this could be. Anyway, we decided to give it a go. We sat at an outside table and once seated a bottle of cold water was brought together with some nibbles. We decided to skip starters so went straight into the mains. I chose linguine with four giant prawns with shell on in a pastis cream sauce. It was simply divine. I loved every morsel and will remember it as one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. My husband enjoyed a cod and chorizo dish with vegetables. A few drinks ended a wonderful meal. My one regret is that we went there the night before we left for home so we were unable to return for another dinner.

A really pleasant experience out in warm November sun with a fine view of Cassis and its port. Service was informal and attentive, our food arrived quickly once we had enjoyed a glass of cassis (what else with tapenade and croûtons. The cassis also proved...an admirable accompaniment to our seafood main courses. My fish was moist, cooked to perfection and generous in quantity. Desserts were equally enjoyable, coffee too. The meal was very good value for money. Every table was taken by about on a busy Saturday, obviously one must reserve. Thoroughly recommended.

Firstly, why is this described as a German restaurant by Tripadvisor ? It isn't. This is a Provençal restaurant with an Italian twist. It's small, at one end of the Port and with a short menu. This means everything is fresh, especially the fish. Go for the fish if you eat here. Presentation is good and prices are reasonable especially if you go for one of the set menus. The food is great value especially if you compare it against a few of the more pretentious restaurants in the centre of the quay. Recommended: octopus salad followed by sea bream.

Friends locally said avoid the harbour side, I’m glad we took the risk here. It’s number if tables are outside, that good because it’s not England, so it works. Our waitress was excellent despite my bad French causing a misunderstanding between Cod and Cuttlefish, that...said was rectified in minutes. This is probably why, the menu is compact. starters, pasta, fish, meat. Kids meals excellent. Adults all happy, desserts excellent. Waitress excellent and hence good tip.
