This restaurant is on a one way system so it's not the easiest to fine. There is a limited amount of parking available cross the street and when we visited it was a quiet street so there was no problem parking and walking across the...road. The menu is in English and French and the service is in French. The service was very friendly and I would recommend the 11 Euro menu which starts with a self-service starter, and includes a main course, desert and drink, so in my opinion great value. The person serving use struggled with English but was very helpful and by pointing at what we wanted it worked out fine. The food was excellent and at a good speed, ie no excessive waiting and no pushing to leave the table fast. As it's in the Vendee the weather is better here than other places further south so if you can site outside and watch the world slowly go past :D
on a day when most of the other restaurants were closed, they were not only open, but after a quick check with the cook they served us lunch at 2.30, which is unusual in France (we were met with a teppich of the schoolmen already...1.30 elsewhere). excellent moulles carbonara with frit and a very large caesar salate. cheap but very good local white wine outside on a covered terrace. very friendly staff, excellent value for money.
we really enjoyed our meals in this restaurant. we had the three curses daily menu, fantastic worth with a serving them to start even salat buffet (excellent), then huhn and chorizoskewer with tagliatelle followed by a selection of three delicious mini deserts. our children enjoyed. her hair and chips and ice cream. very popular with local always a great sign and friendly, eating service. Thank you!
we thought of a quick bite to eat, and we surprised both from the quality of eating and menus, and the price a complete menu for 11€50. the moules marinière frites were excellent, and the Hawaiian salat had a full half pineapple...with a lot of ham (not only a few slices from left overs.
