Lunch was lovely in the garden, shielded from the ferocious mistral wind. We had the €18.50 lunch menu and it was very good indeed. My friend had the iced curried mussel soup and I had the tomato verrine for starter. Mine was a glass full of flavour...excellent pesto, goats cheese and tomato, simple but very good. Main course was pork fillet and mash as they'd run out of the gratin dauphinois. Very well cooked pork with nice mustardy sauce. She had the tiramisu for pub, a biscuit with pannacotta and some pineapple on top which she said was very tasty if surprising for tiramisu. I had a rocamadour cheese served with dried apricots and salad. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely a place to return to.
Petit Ecole was for years our local favorite restaurant, good french food and very resonable pricing. Also somewhat funny with the old ecole inreior. Now it is completely changed with new owners (same as the nearby Petit Histoire) with classy modern interior and an updated and modernized garden! We had a good luncheon with some friends sitting outdoor. Food was fresh and very good. I had tuna steak and the others variouis dishes. evrything was fine and the service was speedy and correct and evrything arrived at the same time at our table for 7. Prices are now a bit upmarket but still resonable. The standard rosé wine we had was excellent and to a good price.
One of the best restaurants in the Apt area. Cooking with finesse and good fresh products. Young couple running the resto, he in the kitchen and she takes care of serving and sometimes very enjoying conversations, note it is an old school! In summer time good garden serviing. Good parking and easy to find, drive through Le Chène on the western outskirts of Apt.
Laut Plan, Internet und Schild hätten Sie offen haben sollen. Hatten Sie aber nicht und wirkte recht verwahrlost. Sah für mich aus wie schon länger geschlossen. ———— According to plan, Internet and shield they should have been open. But they did not have and seemed quite neglected. From my point of view the restaurant looked like a long time closed.
