After a holiday in Les Sables d'Olonne, the receptionist advised us of this galette restaurant which is popular in the city and in addition, by the sea! Although the weather was not in our favor (it had rained, we had reserved for 19:30 on the terrace because there was no room inside. The terrace is covered but the rain was not stopped... Fortunately, the storm was a little more, but good, to avoid as storms and heavy rains We took a Complete and a Marceau. Everything was my good faith, that's all we're waiting for a complete cake. As for the Marceau who is a little more sophisticated, it was very good! Pesto and balsamic cream were succulent! Then we had a crêpe for dessert: a Sugar Beurre and a Chocolate House. The B S: simply good. For the chocolate at home, it was good because it was not bitter to the point of not being eaten. I recommend (and more, it's better than the Nutella for the planet strongly!
We were staying at the Atlantic hotel and by chance chose this hotel due to his proximity then looked at the excellent reviews.Our party was Two adults and Two children (11 and 8).The restaurant is medium sized with not too many covers. We were one of the first to arrive at the restaurant but it soon filled up and almost all seat were taken. The staff were truly exceptional throughout the whole meal, very friendly and helped us with our limited French.All the meals were easily up to the standards of Michelin star restaurants we ate in and the food was simply the best we experienced in our week-long tour of France. This restaurant is truly a little gem and we would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly be returning for another wonderful evening.
Staying on the promenade at Les Sables D'Olonne for one night, we were lucky to find this restaurant a few doors down from our hotel and even luckier that we managed to secure the last available table for dinner. The service was very professional and helpful and the food was of the highest quality. A nice touch was that it was possible to sample some very good wines by the glass, which is unusual in most restaurants. Another thing which took us by surprise was that we were asked to order our sweet at the start of the meal, which perhaps led to a hasty decision as we were not expecting it, but all was well in the end as all aspects of the meal were top quality and well presented. Would definitely return if we are ever in Les Sables again.
live occasionally for several years, we will return to it every time. Maybe prices have increased a little, some products have disappeared from the map (nozzle pancake, ... but every time the staff is smiling and welcoming. the leader always as motivated and pleasant. I can only recommend. the must for a sandy stay. Think about booking.
