I cannot say enough about La Provence... where to begin. It exceeds every expectation in all categories: menu, specials, presentation, art, beauty, romance, quality, portion size, service, consistency, and all this on a Saturday night with a packed house, standing room only. We pre-ordered frog legs, sweetbreads and a dark chocolate souffle for dessert. Oh my gosh, what a great delivery. This restaurant could be inside a Hyatt or Ritz Carlton. It could be in New York, San Francisco, or on Walnut Street where Le Bec Fin once lived. In fact, La Provence equals the best years of Le Bec Fin and exceeds the value and experience provided by Le Bec Fin in its final years. La Provence is worthy of the finest wine in your chiller. That's how good La Provence is. La Provence stars begin where Michelin Stars leave off. That says it all. It's so good, even young people fill the seats; quite an accomplishment luring them from corporate chains.
my man and I went to the jubilee in the province la. the restaurant was decorated for christmas and it was beautiful. we sat on a stone table for two in a small midday in the main dining room. our busboy and waiters were fantastic. my man had the lamb and I had the duck (from our waiter) and we even splurgit and dessert, cream brûlée and chocolate mousse. the manager visited our table to make sure everything was good. Although it is expensive, we will definitely be back.
Our food was simply delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. My father in law had the escargot and it was wonderful. My three guests had the trout almondine and devoured it. I had the Corvino fish and it was amazing. We shared two creme Brulé and again it was outstanding. It was center city prices in Ambler, but so worth it!
tonight and three of my friends were at laprovence. it was extraordinary. I ordered that huh and it was delicious. it came with carrots and green beans that were perfectly prepared. dessert was a spiced cheesecake and profiterole. a delicious end to a perfect meal. I will return in the near future.
