La Savie - Tisch reservieren

This restaurant was recommended by previous guests of the Airbnb that we were staying at - and now we know why. It's not difficult to find but it is remote and you think you are about to wind up on an unmade dirt track. But the location is splendid - gardens all around, an outside eating area in a courtyard surrounded by the kitchen and inside eating area at one end and what I assume is the living accommodation on two other sides. Menu is limited to 3 choices for each of three courses , all sourced locally or grown on site. Catered for two of our party who were vegetarian, who pronounced it the cabillaud amongst the best courses they had had for some considerable time. The main course on our visit included a superb lamb tagine, plus a new dessert to the menu, a chocolate tart which was just divine. Service was perfect and half the meal was served by the chef himself. A very engaging couple - we will go back and listen to their backstory about how they found the vision for this place. Very well worth searching out

Melanie and Frederic were very attentive and nothing was overlooked. We got the true feeling of the place, it's history, and the love and commitment behind. One can peek over the terrace to see the vast garden where the salads and legumes are harvested, and see the harmony of the local terroir and seasons going into each crafted menu. More than anything, Frederic is deeply passionate about his relationship with the area--he shops at the local markets and knows the local artisans for the best ingredients--combined with a deep knowledge how to prepare the best meal with all that is around him. Back home in California, this restaurant would be booked for months in advance and much too expensive (think on par with "The French Laundry"!). In this corner of Perigord, France that we love so much, it is such a treat to have something to enjoy without all of the commercialism.

Je suis allée déjeuner en regardant les avis tripadvisor et je suis surprise de lire des avis négatifs.Suis colère même!On a le droit d'avoir des avis de mécontents mais là il faut arrêter!!Nous avons dégusté un plat certes loin des codes de la Dordogne, mais réalisé avec finesse, originalité et avec des produits frais et plein de saveurs.En prix c est tout à fait correct! Pour la part je préfère manger des tomates de qualité et une mozza buffala à 12€, qu'une éternelle salade de gésiers de canard qui n ont jamais vu un brin d'herbe dans un resto à touriste.En pleine nature, avec un couple adorable rempli de jolies convictions.Difficile de ne pas avoir envie de les encourager à continuer et pour cela il faut s'échapper hors des sentiers touristiques sur une route magnifique. Allez y les yeux fermés!!!bravo et merci pour ce moment...

Never thought there would be a restaurant coming after passing some small hamlets and great views. Super cute location! They have 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 deserts to choose from, the cabillaud was awesome and the Thai salad very tasteful. Love the little details like wild flowers on the tables, the fancy water glasses and nicely decorated dishes. Only recently discovered this place after coming to the Perigord allready for years, definitely one of our favourites!

Perdu dans la campagne, superbe découverte au bout du chemin, cadre idyllique, bâtisse superbement restaurée.Une cuisine originale où les saveurs sont sublimées via les plantes du jardin aromatique. Produits frais très bien cuisinés Une halte calme et excellente, le chemin vaut le détour.
