Determined to find good food on a Sunday lunchtime [after a miserable experience in Arras] we stumbled upon this simple restaurant, clearly popular with locals. We were recognised at an early stage as English so offered a translated menu. The Assiette Landais was big enough for two and well presented. The Sea-bream with beure blanc[served separately] with pommes natur was perfectly cooked, with the potatoes nicely all dente. The Iles Flotante was similarly excellent - beautifully poached meringue, although I am not sure about the dash of caramel lurking in the bottom dimple of the bowl. The waiter spoke fluent English and service was crisp but unhurried. This is not fine dining but good wholesome food and reasonably priced.
Staying in Corbie so went to this restaurant as it was open for an evening meal. First couple in so a bit hesitant. Soon started filling with locals. I had the duck salad. Absolutely lovely as it had about half duck meat in different forms. Wife had duck con fit Lovely also. She concluded with a Creme brûlée which was excellent. Strongly recommended
Not that many restaurants in Corbie and at least not many very good ones. Although this was rated as nr 1 on TA, it was not very special. All dishes were OK but never caused the wow feeling.
The service was great and they were friendly. We enjoyed our food. I ordered a bacon, potato and goats cheese "salad". It was huge but very good.
