Small restauarnt situated in a small town on a route nationale.Stopped for lunch on a saturady. Do not offer an a la carte selection, merely a 3 course fixed price menu which on a weekend cost 20 Euro's per head. All dishes written on portable blackboard. Decor was fine, modern wood lined, light and airy. Welcome from staff was perfectly fine. first course I chose an avocado with tune - I was served an avocado half with a ball of tuna and a dollop of mayo. Avocado was well over ripe, tuna was delicious as was the mayo. For main I had ordered fillet of sole with a sauce dieppoise. I received several strips of a flat fish several of which were seriously overcooked at the edges, a timable of rice which was fine, and a rather thick gloopy sauce with mussels in it. The sauce was of varying temperature, some parts hot, other parts merely tepid. While eating I realised I could hear the ping of a microwave - the overcooking of the fish edges and thenon consitent temperature of the sauce leading me to the conclusion that my dish had been microwaved. For dessert I had a simple vanilla ice cream which was good. On the face of it the 20 euro menu was a good deal, but for the food I received, it was not.
