We were introduced to this excellent restaurant by local friends. Linda, the English chef and owner,serves a varied local menu. Choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses with a vegetarian option. In was packed out on a Monday evening and is very popular with the locals. The fixed price menu is excellent value at 24 euros. Wine is equally good value .There dessert menu is more varied,with a great selection of ice creams. It is open all year round so does not just depend on the "season " to generate its profits. The chalk board menu is an indication of an imaginary chef who does not depend on frozen packed food and varys the food to suit the local produce. If you are in this area do try it - you will not be disappointed
The staff are friendly and both French and English is spoken. There are tables inside and out - sometimes in the heat it's good to opt for inside! The menu changes very frequently depending on season and availability. There are at least three choices for each course in the evening and Sunday lunch. Check their website for opening times as they are not open every day - you can book online in French or English. Recently took our family of nine plus a baby in a high chair and nut allergies and vegetarian were catered for without fuss for a lovely Sunday lunch.
We met here for lunch. The place was really busy and we shared a table with a guy who was on the hoof before having the table to ourselves. Service was very pleasant and unhurried yet efficient. The menu du jour was imaginative and very satisfying. I opted for charcuterie followed by a really tasty bavette which was cooked to perfection with great smoky notes. I substituted dessert for coffee. I suggest you book to secure a table.
