Excellent meal of a life. This restaurant hotel is located in the village of Gevrey Chambertin, famous for its powerful Musculin Pinot Noir. The hotel has only nine rooms. We were not able to reserve the rooms, so we just went for dinner. The hotel was hip still rustic. During the entire building it was decorated with bricks of incomparable sizes. This gives the impression of the stylish posh barnhouse. The rustic Posh building theme even ran in the restaurant. The restaurant was comfortable spacious with 2 floors, but had very few tables. We were informed that the restaurant can only accommodate up to 20 guests per day. Perfect for the evening bourgognes breeze, we sat on the second floor with a table next to a window.. The food was carefully built with high-quality ingredients. The pork leg “pied de cochon” was fascinatingly delicious (9/10). The delicious brioche paired with lard perfectly with buttery oak bird white (10/10). The Vollwheat Sauerteigbrot with grain was tasteful with different layers of taste sour, sweet and a bit bitterness from the crust. Since the hydration of the bread was quite high, the dough treatment technique of the in-house boulevard must be perfect. Pollack with funnel and fish bone reduction sauce was a bittersweet coating of free taste. The best dish for the evening was the French Faverolles Chicken (10/10). I never knew that chicken with notes of butter and cream can be so delicious, and never taste the chicken with texture so delicate and soft. Overall, it was the best culinary experience for me on the trip, and certainly one of the best culinary experiences in my life. The dinner, the Barnhouse ambience and the Camaraderie of the staff in the restaurant were all spent some 90 euros. I recommend everyone who comes past this place to experience this restaurant. The only stop for this restaurant is that it opens only 4 days a week and serves only 20 customers every day. It helps to reserve the table in advance.
