The restaurant has a nice terrace with a beautiful canal view and good food, however that’s all we can say about this evening. We were 5 young adult girls in our late twenties about to enjoy a pleasant evening and we were treated like poor children. From beginning on we were stressed and rushed to order food as fast as possible. We were served our starter on broken plates to start our evening. Later on, we realised all other tables were served an appetiser, which we ‘young’ girls were deliberatly denied. On top of that, the neighbouring tables were given explanations on the daily specials and drinks and were displayed the fresh fish. We ordered seafood platters and bottles of wine, worth a total of 500€! For this expensive price, the least one can expect is to be served with respect, whatever the age of the guests. We had to ask for plates, bread, napkins and wipes multiple times, something which is self evident for a seafood platter! At the end of our dinner, we asked for warm water to wash our hands (which you should not even be asking for after eating a seafood platter), we were served boiling water on purpose, as hot that you would not even serve it as a tea. After that, we were thrown dessert menus on the table, where we found remaining food from previous guests, unacceptable, especially in times of a global pandemic! To top off the evening, we were wrongly billed, when we informed the waiter about it, no apology was given, as if the mistake was made on purpose. When paying the bill, we informed the waiter about our disappointing dinner experience, and the only explanation we were given was that they were pressured by the owner to rush us. We asked to talk to the owner, who was the most presumptuous person I have ever met! We were given no apology and told that other guests already informed her about our complaints. In that case, it is exactly the owner’s job to come to us for complaint handling, however we were not important enough to them. After that experience, we still complimented the food, but as soon as we pointed out the bad, rushing service, we were treated as liars and not taken seriously. The owner laughed at us under her mask while pretending to care about anything we mentioned about our disgusting experience. The least you should do as an owner is to be open for constructive feedback. For sure we will NEVER return to this restaurant and we would not recommend it to anyone, you have better service at McDonald’s! We had a nice day that should have ended by a great dinner at a beautiful location, however we could not be more disappointed.
